    Reliëf Louis Bouwmeester is te vinden op het Louis Bouwmeesterplein in Tilburg en is gerealiseerd door Toon Dupuis in 1923. Het koperen reliëf portret toont Bouwmeester in zijn rol als Shylock uit de Koopman van Venetië.

    Over Toon Dupuis

    Toon Dupuis is geboren op 18 februari 1877 Antwerpen en overleed op 13 oktober 1937 in Den Haag. Hij leerde het vak beeldhouwen van zijn vader, schilder en beeldhouwer Louis Dupuis. Hij studeerde onder Thomas Vinçotte aan de Tekenacademie in Antwerpen. Later werd hij docent aan de Haagse Tekenacademie van Beeldende Kunsten. Hij was een zeer actief beeldhouwer en ontwierp ook medailles.
