    Het kunstwerk Watchtower van Ton van der Vleuten is te vinden in het campus terrein van Fontys hogescholen in de wijk Stappegoor in Tilburg en is in 1988 op het terrein geplaatst in 2022 kreeg het kunstwerk een nieuwe plek op de campus.

    Over kunstenaar Ton van der Vleuten

    Ton van der Vleuten is een Nederlandse beeldhouwer, schilder, tekenaar en collagist. Hij werd geboren op 8 juni 1958 in Mierlo. Van der Vleuten studeerde aan Lerarenopleiding TeHaTex Teacher Training College in Tilburg van 1978 tot 1983 en aan het Royal College of Art in Londen van 1983 tot 1985. Zijn werk omvat een breed scala van materialen en technieken, waaronder beeldhouwen, schilderen, tekenen en collage. Van der Vleuten is bekend om zijn expressieve en kleurrijke werken, vaak met een abstracte en symbolische betekenis.
