    Beeld Marga Klompé is te vinden in het Dante Building op het terrein van de Universiteit van Tilburg en is gemaakt door Margot Homan in 2012. Het Beeld is een beeltenis van Marga Klompé (1912-1986). En werd op 25 november 2012 onthuld door koningin Beatrix.

    Over Marga Klompé

    Marga Klompé was de eerste vrouwelijke minster van Nederland. En zat Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog in het verzet. In 1948 onderhandelde ze als afgevaardigde mee over de Universele Verklaring van de Rechten van de Mens. Van die periode is ook een boek dat in 2012 werd uitgegeven met de titel ‘In Liefde en Rechtvaardigheid. Het Dagboek van Marga Klompé 1984-1949’.

    Over Margot Homan

    De beeldhouwster Margot Homan is geboren op 13 oktober in 1956 in Oss. Ze is opgeleid aan de Academie voor beeldende vorming Tilburg, waar het haar verboden werd om figuratief te werken. Na het afstuderen volgde ze direct haar artistieke roeping en ontwikkelde ze haar eigen figuratieve stijl.
