    Het gebouw Mindlabs staat in het hart van de Tilburgse Spoorzone. Dit is het gebied ten noorden van het stadscentrum. Pal naast de LocHal, om precies te zijn. Het gebouw is in 2023 in gebruik genomen.

    Het MindLabs-gebouw is een innovatiecentrum waarin wonderwijs, onderzoek en bedrijfsleven bij elkaar onder één dak komen. De nabijheid draagt bij aan een levendig ecosysteem waarin de partners samenwerken aan innovatie. Het prachtige gebouw biedt allerlei mogelijkheden voor ontmoeting, inspiratie en onderzoek. MindLabs zorgt voor een divers en aansprekend programma, het hele jaar door.

    De bewoners

    Eigenaren zijn de gemeente Tilburg en Fontys Hogescholen die met de Hogeschool Journalistiek in het gebouw zitten. Andere MindLabs-partners huren een deel van het pand. Grotere huurders van het gebouw zijn DPG Media, Onderwijsgroep Tilburg, Tilburg University en Zwijsen.

    Het ontwerp

    MindLabs zit op de plek van voorheen zat Hal 70. Deze oude spoorhal is gerenoveerd en uitgebreid met nieuwbouw naar een ontwerp van Ector Hoogstad Architecten. De stalen spanten van Hal 70 zijn in de nieuwe situatie opgenomen en omvatten het bruisend hart van MindLabs. Het hart is een ‘beursvloer voor kennis’ met plek voor exposities, manifestaties en voor informeel samenkomen.
